Import Regulations in Guinea for Japan Used Cars

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE IMPORT OF VEHICLES Left-hand-drive used Japanese vehicles are permitted for import in Guinea. Authorization from the Ministry of Transportation in Equatorial Guinea and the Port Authorities in Malabo is required for the import of Japan used cars. The approval from these authorities should be obtained before the shipment of the vehicle from Japan. • Passport (copy) • Import permit (to be approved and obtained from the Ministry of External Affairs) • Certificate of change of residence • Title and Registration certificate (original) • Purchase invoice (copy) • Insurance policy • Documents stating the engine capacity of the vehicle TAXATION • 51.9% of the CIF value will be imposed as duty and taxes for importing a used vehicle from Japan. • Diplomats are exempted from duties and taxes. No restrictions imply on the diplomats for importing used vehicles in Guinea.
