Import Regulations in Samoa for Japan Used Cars

Right-hand drive vehicles are permitted for import from Japan. The used vehicles imported from Japan are inspected at the time of arrival and a water blasting treatment is done. The vehicles are required to be cleaned of contaminants before shipping them from Japan. TAXATION • 5% to 20% of Customs Duty will be imposed on the importation of all used vehicles from Japan. • 15% of VAGST (Value Added Goods And Services Tax) will be applicable. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR IMPORT OF VEHICLES • Commercial invoice • Bill of Lading • Export certificate • Other documents (if required by the Customs)
